In less than 2 months we will ring in a new year and with that brings New Year Resolutions. How many of us wait until January 1st to resolve to “lose weight,” “eat better,” “quit smoking” and “exercise more?” Why wait until the New Year for a New You? Why not give yourself the gift of health NOW? In 2006, I realized that I was carrying an extra 25 pounds on my petite 5’2″ frame. I was depressed and I didn’t know how to lose the weight. In October, my mom was visiting from Florida and she offered to take me to Weight Watchers. I joined that day and attended meetings regularly and recorded everything I ate. I worried about the holidays that were soon approaching but the meetings helped and I was determined NOT to gain during the holiday week. I told myself it was okay if I didn’t lose weight that week but gaining was not going to be an option. My weigh-in at Thanksgiving I stayed the same as the previous week. My weigh-in during the week of January 1stI LOST weight. Wow! What a great feeling to have lost weight that week when so many people were just beginning their weight loss journey. I reached my goal weight in March and continued with Weight Watchers until I started training with Laura. I didn’t want to try and combine diets so I put my trust in Laura. Laura taught me about eating clean and now she has partnered with VPX to offer the Vivo 360 program. Whatever program you decide to help you with your resolutions don’t wait to start it until 2013. You and Your health deserve it sooner; And instead of calling it a New Year Resolution, why not call it a New YOU Resolution.
